Have very few PAINTERs in my data base, but here are my "spares":

1. Katherine COBB (dau. of Grover Henderson COBB and Belle PROPST, b.
aft 1882) m. Dock PAINTER. No other data. If someone can give me some
data on this couple, please do so.

2. Elizabeth PAINTER (b. c. 1835 NC per 1860 Census, Catawba Co., NC,
The Catawba Co. Genealogical Society, Hickory, NC, p 145) m. bef. 1859
Elkanah LITTEN/LITTON (b. c. 1836 NC per 1860 Census, p 145).

They had a dau., Nancy Emaline (b. c. 1859 per 1860 Census, p 145, 1880
Census, p 207, Catawba Co., NC Marriages 1842-1900, Vol. A-K, The
Catawba Co. Genealogical Society, Hickory, NC, p 90) m. 21 Mar 1875
Catawba Co., NC (Cat. Co. Marriages..., p 90) William David CALDWELL (24
Dec 1856 per WFT Vol. 2, Pre 1600 to Present, Pedigree #0897, Broderbund
Software, Inc., 1860 Census p 169; d. 17 Dec 1916 WFT Pedigree #0897).

They had the following children: Laura Ellen b. c. 1876, John Elkanah
b. c. 1879, Charles R., Clarence Olen, George William and Sullie.

3. George PAINTER (b. 9 Feb 1861 per WFT Pedigree #0897; d. 11 Dec
1936) m. 7 Nov 1888 Catawba Co., NC (Cat. Co. Marriages...Vol. K-Z, p
311) Mary Katherine CALDWELL (b. 10 Aug 1860; d. 26 Dec 1940).

They had the following children: Ralph, Thomas Franklin, James, Samuel
and Wade H.

4. Harriet PAINTER (dau. of John & Mary (?) PAINTER) m. 23 Dec 1869
Catawba Co., NC (Cat. Co. Marriages, Vol. A-K, p 79), William Pinckney
Bumgarner (b. c. 1850 NC per 1860 Census, p 137).

They had the following children: John T. b. c. 1871 and Etta b. c. 1875.

5. Violet PAINTER (b. bef. 1830) m. c. 30 Dec 1844 (Cat. Co. Marriages
Vol. A-K, p 8) Miles GOODSON.

They had a dau., Malinda who m. 5 Nov 1868 (Cat. Co. Marriages, Vol.
A-K, p 68) Jacob ABERNATHY (b. c. 1847 per 1860 Census, p 170).
