Hi,
I am loking for some help-
In the book "GA REV WAR SOLDIERS GRAVES" Complied by Arnold and Burnham I find a NICHOLAS LONG b. 1763 d. 22 Aug 1819. The book states served in the NC Continental Line and was later a member of the Provincial Congress. He was a large land and slave owner of Wilkes Co GA.
The sources sited are "Deaths of Rev Was Soldiers who died i n GA and their Widows" and "GA REV Soldiers, Sailors, Patriots & Descendants". vol 1, p 137.
Would anyone in Wilkes Co do some look ups for me? Who was his wife? What were his children's names? Ages? Did he leave a will? Any info at all appreciated.
Since he served in NC can anyone there shed any light on his heirs or parentage?
In the same book there is a REUBEN LONG b. 1730 d. 1791 buried on Wilkes Co; served as 2nd lieutenant in the VA Troops; any info on him?
Naturally I will share or swap lookups. Thank you for anything,
Melinda
