Looking for any info on Alexander (Alex) Kennedy of Cleveland Co. NC.
Born abt 1815 in PA. Was in civil war in the NC 26th Regiment. Was a POW at
Cedar Point, MD and was freed on 14 May 1865 after signing the oath of parole
to the US and its constitution. His LW&T was signed 28 Jan 1892 in Cleveland
Co. NC. His first wife (my GGGrandfather) is unknown. He later married Martha
?
29 April 1834-4 Mar 1915. He refers to her as "Patsy" in his LW&T, which is
the nickname for Martha. Martha Kennedy is buried in the St. Paul cemetery in
Cleveland Co. NC. Martha may have died in PA before Alexander migrated to NC
but I think Alexander died in NC, probably in Cleveland Co. All the cemetery
records I have read show no Alexander Kennedy. He had children and
grandchildren in Cleveland, Catawba, Lincoln, Burke, Gaston, Wilkes and
Buncombe Counties

Any info on this man would be greatly appreciated.
