To all CLINE researchers,in reference to my posting on Elizabeth Cline being
the wife of Henry BOLLINGER. I will copy from a letter that I have sent to
other's that emailed me concerning this matter:
I'll proably just ad to the confusion and debate. I haven't done any
research on the Cline family.

I have two wives for Heinrich Bollinger. One is Elizabeth Wholraber and the
other is Elizabeth Cline. How this came about was on researching the
Bollinger's it seemed one book I read said his wife was Elizabeth Cline but
another book would say it was Elizabeth Wholraber. So I gave him two wives.
(I know that's a no-no).

I have Elizabeth Cline married (1) 1764 Berks Co PA,Henry Bollinger.
Married (2) ca 1795 Henry Probst. Then I show another marriage for her 21
March 1813,no name for spouse.

Over the years I have changed genealogical programs several times,and in
doing that lost alot of data,and one program really mixed up alot of data of
families,I know this line has errors in it.

RE:"The Bollinger Connections",says his wife was Elizabeth Wholrader.
RE:"The Family of John Massie",says his wife was Elizabeth Cline.
(Doing a quick check thru my book library I couldn't find this book,I think
someone sent me the infro).
RE:"Bollinger County History",says his wife was Elizabeth Kline.
RE:"The Heritage of Catawba County,NC",says she married Heinrich Propst.

No,I don't have a primary source.

Books I have::

RE:"Through Four Generations,Heinrich Weidner & Catharina Mull",Vol.1,by
Anne Mc Allister,1992; I also have Vol.2 of this book;;

"Our Kin",by Laban Hoffman,1915;;

"The Shoe Cobblers Kin",Vol 1,by Lorena Shell Baker,1976 and
Vol 2,printed 1985;;

"The Bollinger Connections",by Orenia Bollinger,1984;;

"Old Bollinger",by Cletis Ellinghouse;;

"Bollinger County,1851-1976",by Bollinger Bicentennial Committee;;

"Echo",Vol.3,by the Bollinger County Historical Society,1980;;

"Death Records From Missouri Newspapers,Jan 1854-Dec 1860",complied by Lois
Stanley,1982;;

"Missouri Taxpayers,1819-1826",compiled by Lois Stanley,1982;;

"Death Records of Missouri Men from Newspapers,1808-1854",compiled by Lois
Stanley,1981;;

"Catawba County Heritage,North Carolina",Vol 1,1986,compiled by the Catawba
County Genealogical Society.

My information on Cline,Bollinger,Hoyle,Whitener,and all connecting lines
come from these books,plus correspondence. Unfortunately,when I was
researching this line I didn't know enough and didn't have a program to
enter sources as I entered data. And I haven't had the time to go back and
enter each source. No doubt I picked up some wrong information when reading.
But I can't site a specific source unless I go back and reread all books.

Today,all data I enter I show the source.
Of course,some sources is just the name of a correspondence,which I know is
not a legal source but it tells me where it came from.

I willing to concede I'm wrong. But until some documentation comes along to
prove who his wife was,I'll proably keep both wives.

I'm sorry for any problems I may have caused in posting my line. I will not
post this line again until data is proven.

Sincerely,Kay
