Subject: New surname descendant charts posted

Dear folks,

I did something I swore I would never do: Post files without documentation.

I have accumulated, inherited and created descendant files for the past
five or so years. After posting the Cemetery Index, I though this might be
a helpful extension to that. I have tried to begin with the pioneer
ancestor and carry it down for at least 6-7 generations. They will all
appear on the Catawba County Digital Library.

These may answer the questions some folks have posed and, at the same time,
raise more questions. I would like to make a disclaimer that I am not
responsible for their content. If anyone has anything any better, I will be
happy to replace the report I have with the one you might have. In the
meantime, I have my hands full and it will be difficult to make corrections
to them once they are in place. The preferred RootsWeb way is total
replacement. So, if you have something different than I have and have a
genealogical program that will create a descendant chart, please re-create
the surname and send it on.

Thus far, I have added families A-C (plus Ramsour). Check under the
unlikely heading of "BIOGRAPHIES" at:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/nc/catawba.htm

Note: The search engine they have on that page will search ALL Catawba Co.
archives. Give it a try!
