Seeking information on any of the following families:
1850 Catawba County, there was a Sarah Ann FLEMMING living with an Austin FLEMMING age 29 (b. abt 1821-22)and a Sally age 36 (b. abt 1814-15), a John L. age 6(b. abt. 1844-45) in the Newton Township, house #490.

1860 Catawba County Census indicates there is a FLEMING family in house #1406/1381 headed by an Osborne FLEMING age 39 (b. abt 1821-22), Sarah age 45 (b. abt 1814-15), a John L. age 15 (b. abt 1844-45) and Sarah Ann age 11 (b. abt 1849-50). They added a Tabitha age 9 (b. abt 1851-52) and a Jane C. age 6 (b. abt 1854-55). (They lived next to a Fanny (56) and a Milly (44), Sherrills Ford township ($1,500 in real property)

In 1870 Census, records indicate Sarah Ann and the rest of the kids are out of the FLEMING household. Osborn E. age 50 and Sarah age 55 are by themselves, living next door to a William REYNOLDS age 24 and a Susan age 2. A Fanny and Milly are still near by. Sarah Ann doesn't seem to be accounted for on this census.

In the 1880 Census, Sarah Sr. (wife of Osborne FLEMING) seems to have passed away. The mortality census lists a Sarah FLEMING in the Mt. Creek Township age 66 (Father born in PA) in May of Paulsy.

Personal Observation: Since the ages of Austin FLEMMING from the 1850 Census and Osborne FLEMMING in the 1860 Census, along with the children ages match, could this be the same family? Perhaps the two men are one in the same, Austin Osborne, or Osborne Austin and one census he used his first name, the next one he used his second name. Death Certificate list Sarah's father as Osborne FLEMMING.

Other FLEMINGs listed in the 1850 Catawba Co. Census are:

House #480 -- Archibald FLEMING age 44 (making him born abt. 1816) with $500 in real property, born in Catawba; Matilda age 38, born in Lincoln Co. NC, married within the year; Mary Ann age 12, born Catawba Co.; David age 10, born Catawba Co.; Catherine age 6, born Catawba Co.

Note: I found at LDS site an Archibald FLEMMING married to Matilda Cherry Jan. 14, 1850 in Lincoln NC. Source call no. 1048445, sheet 89. There was also an Archibald FLEMMING married to a Elizabeth Cherry, October 3, 1834 in Lincoln Co. NC, Source Call No. 6330297.

House #481 - (Living next door to Archibald) is: Mary FLEMMING, age not clear but looks like 48, born in Catawba Co.; Jane age 50, born Catawba

Personal Observation: Could the women perhaps be sisters to Archibald. They are too young to be parents.

House # 490--Susan FLEMMING, age 29, born in Catawba; Sally, age 36, born in Catawba; John (?), age 6, born in Catawba; Sarah Ann, age 2, born in Catawba

House #491--Archibald FLEMMING, age looks like 76, $1000 in real property, born Catawba, Fanny age 38, born Catawba; Rebecca age 34, born Lincoln

Personal Observation: Could this be the father of Archibald in House #480, and perhaps the father of Osborne FLEMMING in House #490?

Also, although some of these names vary with one or two M's, I think they are all still linked. Can anyone help?
