Hi everyone--
I am researching Richard, Abraham, Isaac WAINSCOTT / WINSCOT. I am
finding some evidence that Wainscotts may have married members of the Creson
family.
In particular, right now I am looking for information on Abraham
Creson, probably born about 1718 in NJ. He moved to the western VA mts. by
1745 and was in the Yadkin River area of Rowan Co., NC by about 1749. I
think his father was Joshua Creson, Jr. and I think the family traces back to
Staten Is., NY. Prior to that they were maybe French Hugoenots who had fled
to Holland, lived there several years and then moved to New Amsterdam colony
(New York).
I'm looking for a complete list of Abraham Creson's siblings and
children. Also, I'm trying to discover if any of Abraham's female Creson
relatives married into the Enjart family, which is also from Staten Is., and
later NJ.
Thanks, Sue Streett
