Excellent work again, Will. No one (so far) has claimed the John Wright in the Indian Brigade or the Rev. Wright who was at the Pea Ridge Battle.
There were several Thomas Wrights wandering around TX after the Civil War including north TX. (Still think our line is related to the MO and Indiana Wrights in north TX.) I didn't find a "perfect" match for ours on the 1870 TX census, but there was a younger one with a TN birth state working in central TX.
I've also tried the 1870 Arkansas and Missouri census for Tom Wrights. If time permits, I'll be looking in NM, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska as well as Oregon/Washington area.
