Michael Gandy was the person whose name I had forgotten. If you can get his
address I think he will, in fact, undertake to do specific research —— at a
price. But I've also gotten some advice from the Catholic History Society.

For "Catholic Missions and Registers" try interlibrary loan. Copies could be
plentiful in P.Q.

I was wrong. I just checked WorldCat. In Canada it is only available from
the Toronto Public Library. So try that. I didn't check to see what volumes
did what to where or with whom. I've got to leave something for you to do. :-})

I think you're on the right track but it may take some time to find the
baptism & marriage and lots of letters to RC priests.

This list and the Catholic History Society are your best chances for help,
I'd think.
