My ancestor John Ewing had a brother, Joseph Ewing, born in Kirkmackbreck
Scotland June 4 1821, emigrated to Durham, Quebec, Canada in 1837, and
who died in Hayfork California March 6th 1877 at age 56. Apparently he
had two daughters, Henrietta Ewing (unsure if ever married) and Emma Ewing
Walker. Am looking for any of their descendants. We live in California
now, but our Ewing family all lived in Quebec except for Joseph Ewing and
a later relative Rev. Will Ewing born in the 1870s who moved to Claremont.
