Hi, I've been lurking on the list, too busy to
post so far. I am a descendant of Frank SILVER
and Julia SALVADOR, who ranched at Shaws Flat.
Frank's actual last name was SILVEIRA. He was
born in 1829 in the Azores Islands. He had a
twin brother, Anthony, who took the last name
PERRY. Frank and Julia were married in 1864 in
San Francisco. They had 22 or 23 children (whose
names I should list, but I'm sitting here writing
this out from memory as my papers are in another
room....) and both lived into the 1920s.
I have been told that the Tuolomne county
library or the historical society has a great deal
of information on this family, but I haven't been
able to track down the source of this information.
I do have names and dates for Frank and Julia's
family, including children and parents. I'd be
glad to share what I have, and hope there are some
cousins out there who know more than I do.
