I'm hoping that someone may recognize this name, and they will be able to
help me. I'm trying to find out what the maiden name of Mercedes R. BRUNSON,
wife of Horace W. BRUNSON, was. Her obituary from the 08 Jan. 1929 issue of
the Modesto News calls her Mercedes Robin or Mercedes Rohn (the type is
faint) Brunson, and it says that she was born in TN, 15 Jan. 1885, and had
resided in CA for 40 years, and specifically in Chinese Camp for seven
years. In the 1920 census, they are enumerated in Cloudmans, and she was
called Robbin N. Brunson, aged 34, b. in TN, with a father who was born in
France, and a mother born in Spain. I've tried searching the 1900 and 1910
censuses for anyone in CA who fit that criteria, and I haven't found
anything. Can anyone shed a light on this? I have no idea of when she and
Horace were married, but it was sometime between 1910 and 1920.

Thank you.
