There is a park on main street at the corner of Lincoln and Main. It used to be a cemetary. The city left all the bodies and threw the gravestones in a canyon above the city. Most were later hauled to a dump. This all happened within the last 25 years. I would hope the City of Ventura kept a record of who is buried at the park. The City Hall phone # is 805 654-7850. This is the only Cemetary I know of that is that old.
