If the person has a Calif Driver license, or I.D. card, the Department of
Motor Vehicles will forward a page from you so that people can contact you
if they choose ... that way their privacy is not compromised ... create a
short cover letter to DMV describing your purpose as family history, trying
to locate lost cousins for a family reunion and a letter to each person;
make sure the letter is unsealed but addressed and stamped; mail the entire
packet to the
