The first 7 years of my life, I lived in Davis in house that was just north
of a water tower. I believe the house and tower were on E Street.
Recently I was in Davis for a visit (first since 1939) and I went looking
for this house. I couldn't find a tower, but did find a house in the 600
block of E Street that could have had a tower next to it in the 1930's.
There seemed to be a extra lot there with some public benchs and flowers
near the curb. Does anybody know if there was a water tower on E street in
the 1930's & 40's? Thanks.
