Maria C. Alvarez

Maria C. Alvarez passed away unexpectedly October 28, 1999, in Phoenix,
Arizona, as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. Mrs.
Alvarez was 64 years of age. She was born in Mexico June 3, 1935.

Mrs. Alvarez was a resident of Yolo County for 39 years. She was a homemaker
all of her adult life and was employed by the Mariani Nut Company for the
past 17 years.

Mrs. Alvarez is survived by her husband Rafael Alvarez of Esparto. Children:
Ralph Alvarez of Esparto, Jose Alvarez and wife Elva of Woodland, Flora
Hernandez and her husband Saul of Esparto, Martin Alvarez of Esparto and
his girlfriend Armida Perez of Sacramento, Rudy Alvarez of San Francisco,
and Lupe Alvarez-Trejo and husband Jose of Esparto. Grandchildren: Ivan,
Rafael and Juan Alvarez, of Woodland; Veronica and Monica Hernandez of
Alyssa Trejo all of Esparto. Brother, Jesus Castro of Mexico; sisters,
Trinidad Castro de Lopez and Refugio Castro de Melendrez both of Mexico;
nephew, Robert Castro of Dixon; great nephews and great niece, Julian,
Alejandro and Yannessa Castro of Dixon.

Mrs. Alvarez was preceded in death by her parents, Pascual and Guadalupe
(Caratachea) Castro and sisters, Rosa Castro de Ayala, Josefina Castro
de Camarena, Dolores Castro de Ayala and Catalina Castro de la Losa.

The vigil was held on Monday evening at 7 p.m. at St. Martin's Catholic
Church in Esparto. The funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. in St. Martin's
Catholic Church, Tuesday, Nov. 9, with interment following at Capay Cemetery.

McNary's Chapel assisted the family with the arrangements.
