Elizabeth M. Huneke

Elizabeth M. Huneke died on Dec. 2, 1999 of congestive heart failure at
age 81. Mrs. Huneke and her late husband, Kenneth, lived in Golden Bear
estates for 20 years before their retirement from their plumbing and heating
business in Berkeley. Following surgery earlier this year, Mrs. Huneke
resided in a nursing facility in Davis, and later in Marin County.

Mrs. Huneke was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. With her husband, she was a
member of Pioneer Presbyterian Church, and they helped build the Community
Center and complete various projects in the Winters Fire Department. They
were a familiar sight at the Davis Farmers' Market where they sold citrus
products raised on their farm.

Mrs. Huneke devoted her life to raising her family and working in the family
businesses. Before retiring to Winters, Mrs. Huneke was the office administrator,
bookkeeper and secretary for the family business for 30 years. During that
time she was active in First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley, Soroptimist
International and a variety of civic and professional organizations.

Mrs. Huneke is survived by her son, Douglas Huneke, and his wife, Jane,
of Tiburon; daughter, Christine Lindeman and her husband, Robert, of Winters;
granddaughter, Karen Ott, and sons-in-law, Timothy; grandsons, Luke and
Grant Lindeman and Jason Huneke; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Ott; and sister,
Alma Kelsey.

A private family service of Thanksgiving and remembrance was held on Dec.
5 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Tiburon. Memorial contributions
may be made in her name to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 240 Tiburon
Boulevard, Tiburon, CA 94920, or the Winters Fire Department, 10 Abbey
Street, Winters, CA 95694.
