David M. Evans

David M. Evans died in Woodland Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at age 84.

Born June 26, 1917, a native of Woodland, Mr. Evans was a longtime resident of West Sacramento. He was a resident of Woodland in time of his death. He was a past Master Yolo Lodge No. 1 FNAM.

Mr. Evans is survived by his children, Carol Godwin, Earl and Sharon Evans; grandchildren, Joe Godwin, Jeannie Bullard, Kristan Gusman, Vicky Massengale, Kimberly Surette, David Godwin, Dan Godwin and Aaron Godwin; seven great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and other family.

Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. today Wednesday, Jan. 16, at River Cities Funeral Chapel, 910 Soule St., West Sacramento.

A funeral service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, also at River Cities Funeral Chapel.

Private inurnment will be at Woodland Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be directed to Law nforcement Chaplaincy of Sacramento, 2000 Marconi Ave., Sacramento, 95821.

River Cities Funeral Chapel of Sacramento is assisting the family with arrangements.
