Margaret G. Johnson
Margaret Grace Johnson, died in Davis on Nov. 4, 2001, at the age of 93. Born Aug. 8, 1908, in Tacoma, Wash., to William and Harriet (Roberts) Sharp, she lived in Yolo County for the past three years, though she lived most of her adult life in Southern California.
She worked in the health care field for 45 years, first at Los Angeles County General Hospital as a registered nurse, and later as a school nurse in the Lowell School District in Los Angeles. She was an active member of the Whittier Methodist Church and had a lifelong love of music and animals.
She is survived by her sons, William Johnson and his wife Dianne of Davis, Michael Johnson and his wife Sharon of Sacramento and Richard Johnson and his wife Nancy Hampel of El Cajon. She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Francis Johnson in 1977; brothers, William J. Sharp in 1911, Robert E. Sharp in 1979 and John D. Sharp; and a sister, Dorothy E. Powers in 1997.
Private family services are to be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Society for the Prevention of Animal Cruelty of Yolo County, P.O. Box 510, Davis, CA 95617.
Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
