Mickie Hanks

Mickie Hanks died in her Woodland residence on Oct. 6, 2000, at the age of 66.

She was born in Central, S.C. on Feb. 20, 1934, to George M. and Ruby L. Greene.

She was a resident of Yolo County for 37 years and worked as a homemaker all of her adult life.

She is survived by her daughters, Mickie Guevara and husband Crispin of Woodland, Georgeanna Brooke of Oroville; son, Tom Hanks and companion Diana Walton of Woodland; mother, Ruby Greene of Laurens, S.C.; brothers, George Greene Jr. of Gray Court, S.C., Thomas R. Greene and Roger D. Greene, both of Laurens, S.C.; sisters, Patricia Culbertson and Linda Brown of Laurens, S.C.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cande Reed and husband Derek of Madison, Monica Guevara and Crispin Guevara Jr. of Woodland, Shiela Brooks, Brandon Brooks, Jesse Brooks, Cassey Brooks and Kayla Brooks of Oroville. She is survived by her great-grandchildren, Robyn and Zeke Reed of Madison and Donny Brooks of Oroville.

She was preceded in death by her husband George W. Hanks in 1988.

Visitation will be held at McNary's Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Monument Hill Memorial Park.

The family prefers memorials be directed to the Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, CA 95617.

McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
