Florence F. Oliveira
Florence F. Oliveira died May 15, 2000, after a brief illness. She was 92.
She had lived in Davis since 1991, having moved from Kailua, Oahu. She was married to Frank Oliveira for 62 years until his death in 1987.
She was devoted to her family and enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking, but she was especially happy when she could help her family and friends. She was a very kind and gentle person who was deeply loved and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her son, Francis Oliveira of Volcano, Hawaii, and his wife Leitani; daughter Jean Bowen of Davis and her husband Adrian Bowen; and five grandchildren, Bruce Oliveira of Honolulu, his wife Jeannie and their children, Sean, Liko and C'era; Teresa Bowen MacArthur of Davis, her husband Robert and their children, Meghan and Bo; Haunani Oliveira of Honolulu and her children Trixee, Taylor and Natasha and her husband Cary of Vallejo; Leslie Zais of Davis, her husband Craig and their children, Scott and Todd; and Brian Oliveira of Los Angeles, his wife Celeste, and their children Brittany and Bronson.
A funeral will be held at a later date in Honolulu at the Valley of the Temples Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Yolo Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Chapel.
