Valentina Manelis

Valentina Manelis died on March 31, 2000, at her daughter's home in Glendale. Born on Sept. 19, 1911, she was 88.

She had been a Davis resident since 1956.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Manelis.

She is survived by her four children, Robert Manelis of Clovis, Joseph Manelis of Clovis, Rita Burns of Glendale and John Manelis of Napa; seven grandchildren, Robert Jr. and Marcus Manelis, both of Clovis, Danielle Milan of Fresno, Matthew and Monica Burns of Glendale and Anthony and Kristina Manelis of Davis; and one great-grandson, Quinton Milan of Fresno.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church, Davis. Burial will follow at the Davis Cemetery.
