Hello everyone:

Mel Russell, the Yolo County Archive and Records Center Coordinator,
contacted me today to ask me to alert Yolo County researchers who
request obituaries from the Yolo County Archives to first check the list
of newspapers that the Archives has it is collection before requesting
obituaries. There are many obituary requests going to the Archives for
newspapers for certain dates that are not available at the Archives.
There are no volunteers available to search offsite for obituaries in
newspapers for dates that they do not have in their collection.

Current Yolo County obituaries from the Woodland "Daily Democrat," the
"Davis Enterprise," and the "Winters Express" are available both on the
