Kayla Allyce Pettit

Kayla Allyce Pettit died in UC Davis Medical Center Monday, March 3, 2003, at age 8.

Born Aug. 17, 1994, in Woodland, Kayla Allyce had been a lifelong resident of Yolo County. She attended Plainfield Elementary School. She was a member of Woodland United Fellowship, and a participant in 2002 in ACT Games.

Survivors include her father, Michael Lance Pettit of Fort Bragg; mother, Kimberly Christine Smith of Knights Landing; stepfather, James Richard Smith Sr.; stepmother, Kimberly Anne Parker, both of Knights Landing; siblings, Norman, Angela, James Jr., and Jessica; grandparents, Roger and Carol Odom and Jim and LaVell Pettit, all of Woodland.

The family requests memorials be directed to Orthopedically Handicapped Class, c/o Plainfield School, 20450 County Road 97, Woodland, 95695, in her behalf.

A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Woodland United Fellowship, 240 North West St., Woodland.

McNary's Chapel of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
