Josephine M. Maier

Josephine M. Maier died at Cottonwood Healthcare Saturday, April 26, 2003, at age 87.

Born July 21, 1915, in San Francisco, Mrs. Maier was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Correira) Silva. She had been a Yolo County resident for the last 55 years. She was a homemaker for her entire life. She was a member of Cabrillo Club of Woodland and the Luso-American Club of Northern California.

Survivors include several cousins in Woodland. She was preceded in death by her husband John Andrew Maier in 1971.

The family requests memorials be directed to Arthritis Foundation, 3050 Explorer Dr., Suite No. 1, Sacramento, 95827. Arrangements are under the direction of Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors of Woodland.

Services: A funeral service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. Interment will follow at 11 a.m. at Woodland City Cemetery.
