Marilyn F. McDaniel

Marilyn F. McDaniel, a Davis resident for 23 years, died unexpectedly July 27, 2003, at Sutter Davis Hospital, due to complications stemming from diabetes. She was 51.

She was born to Charlie and Agnes Hotz in Evansville, Ind., on Aug. 11, 1951. On June 9, 1969, she married Larry E. McDaniel. Shortly thereafter, the couple moved to Davis. She attended Cal State Sacramento, where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology.

She was a caring and intelligent person who loved animals, especially dogs and cats, loved ones say, and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband Larry McDaniel of Davis, mother Agnes O'Neal, brother Danny O'Neal of Loma Linda, and sisters Sandy O'Neal of Sacramento, Kathy O'Neal of Davis and Peggy Bennett of Sacramento.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Davis Funeral Chapel, 116 D St.
