Lorraine Tolson

A memorial service is planned Saturday for Lorriane Tolson, 80, of Vacaville. She died Sept. 21, 2003, following a short illness.

Born March 27, 1923, in Placerville, she was a homemaker and beloved wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Howard Tolson, and lived in Davis for 25 years until his death. For the past 15 years, she has been a resident of Leisure Town in Vacaville and participated in many of its activities.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Tolson and his wife Sara of Vacaville and Ronald Tolson and his wife Nancy of Sacramento; eight grandchildren, Debbie Armstrong, Steven Tolson, Doug Tolson, Dan Tolson, Jessica Carbuillido, Teresa Tolson, Jalena Tolson and Michael Pena; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her family was her life and her passion, her family says. She will be remembered for her love, devotion and zest for life.

A private graveside service will be held in Placerville following Saturday's memorial service at 11 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Vacaville.
