Nona M. Garrison

Nona M. Garrison died in Woodland on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at age 83.

Born Jan. 28, 1920, in Lorraine, Texas, Mrs. Garrison had been a Yolo County resident for 70 years.

Survivors include her son, Dan E. Garrison; daughter-in-law, Kathleen M. Garrison; grandchildren, David, Diane and Dana Garrison, all of Capay; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan F. Garrison; parents, Vannie and Donie Meredith; five brothers; and one sister.

The family requests memorials be directed to Capay Valley Fire Department; Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, 95616; and the Elderly Nutrition Program.

Services: A celebration of her life is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Garrison Ranch, 21470 Hi-way 16, Capay. Interment will be conducted privately.
