Perry Richard Clark
Perry Richard CLARK, longtime Winters resident, passed away peacefully at his home on April 17, 2004. Perry was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on Jan. 20, 1927. Perry attended school in Gooding, Idaho, along with his siblings Vashti and Jay Dee.
Perry joined the United States Navy in 1945 and set sail on the U. S. Langley. The Langley sailed to Italy as well as the Panama Canal and Pearl Harbor.
Perry met his lifelong sweetheart Jeannine Delores Warren in 1946. After a whirlwind courtship they were married on Sept. 6, 1947. They made their first home in Gooding. Perry and Jeannine moved to Winters in 1949. Perry became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1961. Perry and Jeannine were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1962. Perry's profession was a truck driver, which he held for 56 years. Perry and Jeannine raised five children, Virgil Stanton Clark, Connie May Crum, Lorna Christine Button, Jeanie Marie Martinez and Larry Richard Clark. Perry and Jeannine enjoyed 56 years of marital bliss and enjoyed traveling with family and friends. They visited New Zealand, Alaska, Australia, Mexico and Canada, as well as many states in the U. S.
Perry is survived by his wife Jeannine, his five children, sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother May Sedonia Schooler, his father Albert Stanton Clark and his brother Jay Dee Clark.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to Yolo County Hospice.
A viewing was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, on Tuesday, April 20.
The funeral was held on Wednesday, April 21, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 435 Anderson Avenue, in Winters.
