Charles R. O'Neil

Charles Robert O'Neil died June 3, 2004, at Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento. Born in Berkeley on July 23, 1933, he was 70.

A graduate of the Berkeley High School class of 1950, he attended UC Berkeley and then worked for the Standard Oil Co. of California. A resident of Guinda, he had lived in Yolo County for the past eight years.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Constance O'Neil of Guinda; daughters Peggy Hays of Sisters, Ore., and Nancy O'Neil of Walnut Creek; a son, Michael O'Neil of Fairfield; a sister, Joan Crabtree, of Sun City, Ariz.; and sister-in-law, Patsy Krebs, of Inverness. Five grandchildren also survive.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donors' favorite charity in his memory. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Services of Woodland.
