If you are interested in Yolo County history in the latter half of the 1800s, you might want to visit the Yolo County GenWeb Project web site that I maintain.

I have started to transcribe the above book, and I will be placing the completed sections on the web site as I finish them. The list of Yolo County marriages from 1850 to 1870 is completed and on the web site at the URL below. I am working on the history of Yolo County section, and a part of the section is already on the web site at the web address below:

"The Western Shore Gazetteer and Commercial Directory, For the State of California…, Yolo County," compiled and published annually by C. P. Sprague & H. W. Atwell, Woodland, Yolo County, 1869. (near the top of the page)

As I complete individual city and business sections, I will send the information on the Yolo County towns, businesses, etc., as separate messages in case you are interested in any specific Yolo County town or industry. I hope you will find something of interest in this book.
