ALBERT DAVIS PASSES
Hemorrhage of the Lungs Was Immediate Cause of Death
WOODLAND, Oct. 7 - Albert DAVIS was found dead Sunday morning, and his
physician states that hemorrhage of the lungs was the immediate cause. He
had been under treatment for cardiac asthma for a number of years and had
been frequently warned that he must take every possible precaution against
hemorrhages. Two or three days previous he had a mild attack and his friends
advised him to remain in bed until he had fully recovered.
Saturday night he complained of feeling rather worse than usual and he
retired early. At midnight some friends called to see him and they saw no
indication of hemorrhage. About 7 o'clock Sunday morning he was found dead.
He probably died between 4 and 5 o'clock.
Will Davis, brother of the deceased, is in San Francisco. Efforts have
been made to locate him but so far without avail. The funeral will probably
be held on Wednesday and it will be held under the auspices of the Eagles.
Deceased was also a member of the Neutawanha lodge, No. 245, I.O.O.F., of
Fulton, New York.
Owing to the absence of the brother we have been unable to procure any
data from which to write a sketch of the life of the deceased. It is a
matter of general knowledge, however, that he had lived in Dunnigan, Blacks
and Woodland for the last fourteen or fifteen years. He was well liked by
all who knew him.
