AGED WOODLAND RESIDENT DEAD
WOODLAND (Yolo Co.), August 3 - Peter SALING, an old resident of this
county, died at his residence yesterday afternoon of creeping paralysis,
consequent upon old age. Deceased was a native of Cole County, Missouri, and
over 76 years of age. He came to California in 1849 and to Yolo County in
1874. His wife and four children survive him. He was a member of the M.E.
Church, South, and also of Madison Lodge and of Woodland Encampment,
I.O.O.F. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock.
