Columbus Breedlove was not the grandfather of Norman Craig Breedlove (the speedster) nor his sister Georgina. Their father was Norman Lloyd Breedlove b. in Louisville Kentucky at the beginning of the 1900s. His father was Gorman Breedlove and his mother Florence Van Duesen. Florence may have been married prior to marrying Gorman Breedlove, and her name may have been Van Meiter.
