Hi,
I know for a fact that the national cemetery in washington d.c. has an
office where they will look up anyone for you, if you have the name and brach
of service , the years of birth and death would help..... but the name is a
start. they do give you a map and tell you where to go....... you can walk
or drive,,, if it is far away from the office,,,,,,, drive...... they will
give you a pass for your car........ not just anyone is allowed to drive
through arlington......... my ggrandfather and ggrandmother are buried at
arlington, and we had a fantastic trip there!!!!!!!!
there is also many other things to see there, the unknown soldiers with
a guard on duty....... jfk's grave site ect....
and washington d.c . has a ton of things to see and do. If you go to d.c go
early. to find parking.
the cemetery has a parking garage, so theres no trouble parking there.
i'm very luck to live so close... my family and i have been 3 times this
year alone and i have not even been to start my genealogy at the archives of
library of congress.!!! Lisa
