Does anyone have experience in ordering Headstones for veterans?
I've obtained the U.S. gov't form to order a headstone for my ancestor who
was a veteran of the War of 1812. He currently lies in an unmarked grave in
a very small Hickman family cemetery in Greene Co, PA. The cemetery
currently only has three headstones and is on land now designated as "State
Game Lands".
On the form, I need to get the authorization of the Cemetery caretaker, but
there is none, that I know of. Any suggestions?
Also would like to hear from anyone who has optained a headstone for a
veteran through this program.
