How to find old graveyards.
Ask a few "oldtimers" about old graveyards they know that are abandoned.
Look for the "t" shape inside a dotted box on USGS maps
Check obits from the turn of the cemetery in old newspaper microfilm.
Some of the things you will find may surprise
If no one else is doing this as an organized group, try posting in the local
library or Museum, a note that you will transcribe and map small cemeteries
[I promise you will regret the first cemetery of more than 200 graves you
attempt to transcribe, so stay small] for anyone who knows of one that has not
been recorded recently.
