Subject: [CEMETERY-L] Circular burial formations

I was asked for information about circular burial formations in the
U.S.A. The young lady had noticed during a visit to Shiloh that the
daughter of Andrew Jackson was buried in a circular formation. When
inquiring she was told it was done in this manner at the family's
wishes. She believed that circular burials were not uncommon in
Europe. Could anyone please provide information on curcular burial
practices.
All help would be appreciated.
