Greetings List,
I am working on salvaging a cemetery that dates back to erarly 1800. It is
located in Southwestern, MO. It contains several relatives and several of
their slaves, whos graves are only marked with stones taken from the land. My
question is as follows:
there are a few graves that are not marked but are visible (sunken spots),
those that are marked with stone only, and then those marked with markers. I
am wondering if there is anyway additional, as yet undiscovered, graves could
be located with modern methods. I recently read a story about how the
Chicago, IL police dept verified the existenance of a grave containing several
corps which related to a serial killer and his victims. It said they used
infra red equipment. Would this work on such an old cemetery? Is there some
way of scanning/photographing the area to determine variations in soil
composition, etc?
Hope some techno person out there can answer this question for me.
thanks in advance,
bruce
