When cemeteries were laid out many years ago there was always a map.
Like the Snohomish cemetery they had a map. You might have to do a lot of
research but I'm sure you can find records in the city or county courthouse.
If your family plot contains 8 graves it will probably be 16'X20' with the 20'
running north and south. Headstones facing east. The 16' will be cut in half
with 4 graves running east and west and 4 graves below that also running east
and west. Kind of hard to explain without making a drawing. How did you know
there were 8 graves? You can talk to the local people, previous funeral
homes, previous caretakers. If you plot is clean of underbrush you can see
where the graves are. There will be depressions in the soil about 5' apart.
Hope this helps........glen
