You may already know my position on this but to restate it, yes, the
overgrown and neglected cemetary should be restored! Even though the
information from the stones has already been recorded, it stands to reason
that if it isn't kept up, it could very well be forgotten forever. I'd hate
to think that a road construction crew, ect. would "find it by accident!"
I was raised with a strong sense of family history and in doing research, I
enjoy visiting the places my ancestors were. A lot of times, I can get the
info from books, but visiting the actual place gives a sense of
understanding the history of the person I'm researching. Besides that, what
better way could we-the living-honor those who've gone on before us than by
seeing to it that their places of rest are kept up?
