Hi Lawrence,

I am just a beginner, but have gotten info on this list about the use of
Epoxy (double-barreled), when you push the plunger it squeezes equal amounts
of the glue and a catalyst, and you mix them together (on a coffee can lid
or such) and using a wooden dowel or other tool, spread on both parts to be
put together being careful not to let it run over the sides. Before you
start the glue, brush the parts to be put together with a brass or steel
brush but don't brush the face of the stone, just what you are glueing. This
should clean and get it ready for the glue, blow or brush with a paint brush
or natural bristle brush to get the residue off first.

It may have to be handled differently if it is laying down than if it is
standing. Standing, the weight of the stone will help. You may need to
strap to hold secure until set. If it is on the ground, you may try to dig
out enough to prop it up and with dirt and rocks (being careful not to
damage the stone face)to get it erect, and work the pieces up from the
bottom to the top. It may need to be done in two or three stages, letting
one set until secure, then do the next layer, etc until finished.

"Duro" is the brand I am using, but there may be other brands also that do
the same thing.

Linda
