Subject: [Old Bones CEMETERY-L] Question

I have a friend who is also interested in cemetary restoration, he
ecently told me that he's used baking soda as an abrasive when cleaning
moss off from stones. I'm not certain if this is such a good idea but
can anyone tell me if baking soda has caustic effects?
