When we had several stones damaged by vandals, we went to a local monument
seller and he gave us enough of the correct adhesive to make the repairs,
along with a lot of advice. If our volunteer had not been familiar with the
process, the stone/monument owner would have come out and done the repairs
for free. The point of all of this is that if you go to one of these places,
plead for help, tell them about your poverty stricken, and information
stricken problems, they more than likely will do whatever they can to help.
Seriously, if they don't do more than give you good advice as to what
adhesives to use and how to use them, that will be plenty in itself. If one
place isn't interested in helping (and most would be I would think), then
surely there is another one in your area that will.

Good luck!
