Subject: [CENSUS-CHAT] 1900 Census
Date: Fri, 28 Apr 2000 10:06:52 EDT
Hello Listers,
Would someone help me decipher the following information? I received this
but there are no headings so I have no idea what some of this information
means. It is from the 1900 census of Greenup Co., KY
McEnerny, Mike Head W M Sept 1847 52 M 28 IRE IRE IRE 1867 33 NA
Laborer Section RR O F H
Also, does anyone have access to the 1870 census for Muskingum County, Ohio?
Mike received his naturalization papers in Zanesville in 1872. I am hoping
that he is there in 1870.
This guy was a definite "mover." He filed his intent in 1867 in Marion
Co.,OH, received his final papers 1872 in Muskingum County, OH, is found in
the 1880 census in Akron, OH and now is in the 1900 census in Kentucky.
Are there census records in Canada? I think that I can safely assume that
Mike was in Canada in 1856 because his sister Kate was born there in 1856.
If they didn't come to the states until 1867 there is 11 years unaccounted
for and maybe he is in a census record in Canada.
Thanks for listening to me rattle on.
Any help or suggestions are very much appreciated
Anne Marie
