There is a certain problem that ioccurs in some databases when trying to
mark Ancestral or Decendant branches. If there is an intermarriage
somewhere along the line, then the routine (as it tries to connect to
everyone along the branch) will end up coming right back down the
intermarried line and end up marking everyone in the database. It's kind of
hard to explain, but in cases where an entire database is marked when you
do an Ancestral or Descendant Branch this is inevitably the cause of it.
The only way to stop it is to disconnect the intermarriage temporarily,
then mark. It's not a good solution, but nothing is. The program can't know
where you would want the tracing to stop.
