What is the purpose of "Notes" then?? GEDCOM is a lifesaver in this respect because "notes" do not get printed in some other programs - I can therefore move the file elsewhere where I CAN get "Notes" printed out.

When you export your file to "GEDCOM" perhaps there could be a selection to NOT include notes. But if it is ONLY your own info that you don't want exported, then delete it from the file before exporting - you can always re-insert it after exporting.
