Mr. Poulsen,
Similarly I use windows 98 in English and Cftw in Portuguese.
I do not know if is the case, but verify if you have the file mfc40loc.dll
in your system file. This file is a complement of the file mfc40.dll and it
is used for foreign languages (not installed if we install windows English
Edition.)
Please, let us known if "funny things"disappear.
