I don't think we can say it is nothing to do with this list when a posting
made to the list is not delivered. And we can't assume that others are not
affected, when anyone affected would be unable to tell us, unless they knew
enough to find a workaround. I wouldn't criticise someone for attempting to
diagnose the technical cause of their own problem. We might also remember
that the posting that didn't get through originally was not a complaint, but
a contribution to an existing thread.
I agree that this should have been taken off-list earlier, when the
list-owner undertook to discuss it with RootsWeb. What has kept it going on
the list is one intervention which addressed the problem and two which
didn't (make that three, now, with this message).
