REUNION

ANDERSON: A reunion of descendants and other relatives of JOHN and RUTH ANDERSON, Talihina, OK, was held to coincide with the 2005 Choctaw Labor Day Fesitval. To be honored was Doris Rae Anderson (Thompson) Birkey of Motevideo, MN, on her 70th birthday.


BOWDEN: Descendants of RUBEN and ANNIE LEE BOWDEN celebrated their mother's Choctaw heritage on 11 June 2005, 2005 being her 100th birthday year.All ten Bowden children are still living. They came from six states and the festivities began with Choctaw Nation Princess Stephanie Horn giving the opening welcome and Choctaw language instructor, Etta Postoak Johnson, reciting the Lord's Prayer in Choctaw: former Chickasaw Princess, Kasie McDonald, performed the Lord's Prayer in sign language.


GIBSON, POPE: All five of the surviving children of the late ADAM and WINNIE POPE GIBSON had their annual reunion at the Choctaw Community Center in McAlester, OK.


McDANIELS/WESTBROOK: This reunion was held 10 September at the home of CLORA 'DUDE' and CECIL BROOKSHER in Pico Rivera, CA, with cohosts BONDIE and WANDA BROOKSHER.


EMEYABBI-BILLY-WESLEY-ISCHOMER: This family reunion was held 16 September with family gatherings and preaching with Truman Jefferson as M.C.


FRANKLIN-TERRELL: To be held Saturday 24 September at Wilburton's Robber's Cave State Park, Shelter #2.
